DeskDog Studio is the home of artist Sharon Wheeler, supervised closely by Jilly the DeskDog.
Sharon paints in pastels, water-based media, and oils. She delights in finding hidden colors in a shadow, or creating an image using a limited palette. While her works may be grounded in the shapes of reality, she often bends reality to her will in order to create new shapes that find the light and embrace a mood. Colors are bold and textured in her world and in her art.
Sharon and Jilly live and work outside of Austin, Texas. The studio is threatening to consume the house, but they love it!
